Rules & Regulations 

  • Every student must on admission obtain, an Identity Card, which will be issued by the office. The students must always carry the Identity card displayed on their uniform whenever they are on the institute premises. 

  • Students must not attend classes other than their own without the special permission of the lecturer concerned.

  • Students must be present in their respective classrooms before the commencement of a lecture. The first bell is at 8:50 am meant for the students to collect their materials and go to the classes. Before the second bell rings at 9:00 am all students must be in their respective classrooms or else their presence will not be taken into consideration for attendance. 

  • Students are required to conform to the grooming standards of the Institute such as appropriate clothing, correct uniforms, and short hair for boys, etc.

  • Students are required to attend theory classes, practicals, demonstrations, and functions even outside their normal institute hours or outside institute premises as part of their course study which is compulsory.

  • The conduct of the students in their classes and on the premises of the institute shall be such as which will cause the least disturbance to the fellow students of other classes. The principal may expel a student whose work or conduct is not satisfactory and the entire fees paid shall be forfeited.

  • If a student is absent at the beginning or in between the normal working hours shown in the timetable (theory/practical) he/she will be marked absent for the whole day.

  • Students must not loiter on the institute premises while the classes are in progress.

  • Smoking of cigarettes or usage of any tobacco/drugs/alcohol is strictly prohibited in classrooms or the institute premises.

  • Students should not bring anything inside the institute that will in any way interfere with its orderly administration and discipline. This includes cell phones, ipods, video games, or any other electronic gadgets.

  • No society or union shall be formed in the institute and no person invited to address a meeting without the prior permission of the principal. 

  • In the institute, for debates and other meetings arranged, the chair must be taken by a responsible person approved by the principal and the subject of the debates and meetings must be previously approved by the principal.

  • No student shall be allowed to take an active part in current politics.

  • No student should communicate any information or write about any matter dealing with the institute’s administration to the media or any political/social bodies.

  • Students are expected to take proper care of the institute’s property and help to keep it neat. Any damage done to the property of the institute by disfiguring walls, door fittings, or breaking furniture, etc. will be considered as a breach of discipline. Those responsible for the same shall be duly punished and the cost of the damages will be recovered from the students. 

  • Non-compliance with the rules of the institute will be dealt with through suitable fines and appropriate disciplinary action. Please note that this institute is under 24-hour electronic surveillance. 

  • If for any reason, the continuance of the student in the opinion of the principal is detrimental to the interest of the institute, the principal may ask such a student to leave the institute. This decision shall be final and binding on the student.

  • Students shall not do unofficial outdoor catering orders/waiting during their study in this institute. The principal may take strict action against students who indulge in this practice.

  • Lunch given in the Institute is not a statutory obligation on the part of the institute. Students are required to accept what is offered as training food.

  • Students when free should make maximum use of the institute’s library for reference work/self-study. Students shall abide by its rules:-.

  • Every student will be issued a library card for lending and reference and the same can be used for all 3 years.

  • Students should use their cards to issue books.

  • Students should carry their identity cards to the library.

  • Lending facilities will start only after one month of the commencement of classes.

  • Before the final examination, a clearance certificate should be secured from the librarian.

  • Any misuse of the library facilities by the students will be dealt with strongly.

 

  • Failure to appear for the internal examination i.e. assignments, projects, and class tests, even on medical grounds, will not be accepted as an excuse and such students will not be allowed to sit for the university examination.

  • As per the university norms, each student is required to have a minimum of 75 % attendance to the total number of working days of the same academic year failing which he/she will be disqualified from appearing for the university examination, industrial training, campus interviews, and study tour. 

  • Students must be regular and punctual in attendance in classes, practicals, and in the submission of assignments and journals in the various subjects. Terms will not be granted and a student will not be certified for the university examination if his/her progress including the performance at the internal examination, regularity, conduct, and attendance is not to the entire satisfaction of the principal, who will have full rights to detain the student.

  • Absence without leave is considered a breach of discipline and is liable to strict action. No leave will be granted except in case of illness or emergency. Prior permission must be obtained from the principal who will consider the application of leave on individual merit.

  • Absence due to ill health should be notified as soon as possible and a doctor’s certificate produced on return to college.

  • No student can leave the institute premises during working hours without a written pass from the principal. The breach of this rule is liable to suspension. 

  • The institute shall not assume liability for any accidents that may occur to students during their activities within the institute premises or as part of their work-related responsibilities. Students are encouraged to adhere to safety guidelines and exercise caution to prevent any untoward incidents.

  • Parents are requested to contact the college time to time regarding the progress of their child.

  • University’s enrolment form to be filled and fees should be paid in May to confirm the admission for the next academic year.

 

 

 

Ordinance 6086 relating to Attendance for Learners

 

Every bona fide learner shall ordinarily be allowed to keep terms for the given semester in a program of his enrolment, only if he fulfills at least seventy-five percent (75%) of the attendance taken as an average of the total number of lectures, practicals, tutorials, etc. Further, every learner must have min 75% attendance for each course.

• The same ratio shall be applied for computing the attendance of the learners by crediting the number of periods that are missed while participating in an extracurricular / co-curricular activity/competition/camp/workshop/convention/symposium / seminar etc. where the said learner is officially representing the college / University / District / State / Country with the permission of the principal.

• At the end of the semester on recommendation of the attendance committee the Principal / Director / Head of the college / Institute / University Department shall display a list of the learners who are not allowed to keep terms.
